I really want this tool to work, so I have been putting it through it's paces.

One thing I notice is that when I check off a repeating item, it does not repeat. If I sync, the item gets repeated on toodledo and then updated in toodler.

Does the app not reset the due dates on repeating items? It appears that it depends on the web tool to generate the new due date.

Also, I would like to filter on folders, but that does not seem to be working, is that the case? All I see there is "all"

I found probably your best competitor, it is an app called Done

It is not as functional as yours, but I will say that the interface is much better.

You seem to be copying the slim interface, but it is not too well thought out, there a lot of clicks to do anything. The done interface places some drop down menus at the top in the header bar that replace the launch screen and filter screens. This makes it much easier to jump around (with the caviot that not much is working). The app opens right up into the last view you made and then offers those drop down lists as navigation, rather than burning two whole screens on navigation before you can even see a task. Maybe you can do something like this for your saved filters (which I am looking forward to)

To be honest, if this app does not work out, I am moving to an iPhone. I need tasks to work and webOS has nothing. So, thank you for saving me from the iPhone.

I have been thinking more about the navigation in toodledo.

There are actually two: the slim version and the full version

Your app mirrors the slim version, but it is a bit challenging because there are two levels of navigation screens before you ever see a task.

Done on the other hand mirrors the full version, the first page has tasks, and also has two sets of navigation across the top.

The top navigation shows all the different views, or slices at task data you can take (i.e., Main | Folder | Due-Date | Priority | Sharing | Search | Calendar)

The next level of navigation is all the preconfigured filters for that view (All Tasks, Starred, Hotlist, Recently Added, Recently Completed, Recently Modified)

This makes access to tasks much quicker. One just selects a view, then a pre set filter. If required, additional filters and sorting are available.

Would you consider adopting this metaphor in your design?

Saved views then could be added to the list of existing views.

It is not clear in my post above that I am describing the navigation for the full version of toodledo and not the navigation for Done

Post Re: feedback

Thanks for your detailed comments.

1. Yes, for repeating tasks, I rely on the Toodledo to provide the new due date, which I can only get when syncing. I agree that it would be nice to handle this on the client, but right now it's low on my priority list because it works the way it is, although I know it's not perfect.

2. The folder filter is working for me. I'm not sure if it may be that is due to a change I've made while programming, though. Does folder functionality work if you select folders from the main page? Perhaps try refreshing your local data by selecting "change account info" from the menu? If you can't get it working, I'll be interested to hear if the next version works for you (in a few days).

3. and 4. I like your ideas. As you can see, I'm not the best with layout and UI design. I agree that that would be nicer, and if I can figure out how to do it, I will. Probably not until I get the full functionality that I'd like the program to have done, though.

Thanks again!
