folder functionality was an issue with the due dates and filter settings on my set up. I had imported from palm db and datebk6 set all the due dates to 2031 rather than to no date and my setup had all events farther than 6 months away hidden. Your program must not show folders that contain no active tasks, that is why I was not seeing them. I changed the dates and it fixed everything.
